We are not a source of medical information. While we do have several medical professionals as admins, we cannot advise anyone on medical issues and will not approve posts that are asking for medical advice/information from the group.
 

We do not have "insider" information, nor do we have the ability to fix all of the issues involved in the current vaccine rollout. We are as frustrated with the system as everyone else, and we wish we had answers for every person who has messaged us or posted asking for information about second doses. We are doing our best to be as informed as possible, but we are not an official information source.
 

We cannot control the information being disseminated by members in our group. While we do our best to prevent blatantly false information from circulating, with 18,000+ members and hundreds of posts being added daily, it's impossible to keep up. Take any advice you receive from a member (and even an Admin — we are human after all and again, just volunteers) with a grain of salt. Do your own research to be informed and make decisions.
 

Individual members on this page are personally responsible for any information they choose to share with other members or any actions taken as a result of something they read in this group. That includes the exchanging of personal information with other members and any interactions outside of the group, including rides to appointments. The admins/moderators of this group are not liable for any poor outcomes that result from member interactions, both on and outside of the group.
 

Members are responsible for confirming they qualify for any appointments obtained. The group is not responsible for any appointment cancellations, delays or any other problems that arise in receiving the vaccine. We are a forum for information to be shared, but what members do with that information is their own responsibility.
 

We will continue to make changes in the group to protect members and ensure we aren't doing more harm than good. We realize not everyone will be happy with the decisions we make, but we want to do our best to make this a safe and informative space to fulfill our core mission: to get the people of Pittsburgh and its surrounding areas vaccinated.
